Thank You To Supervisor Gonzalez For A Job Well Done

Our City would like to thank former Board of Supervisors President Matt Gonzalez for his hard work over the last four years.

From his anti-chain store legislation, to the living wage ordinance, to the reforming of patronage-filled city commissions, to his electrifying run for the Mayor's office, Supervisor Gonzalez has been a strong and consistent voice for progressive ideals in San Francisco. We will miss him as an elected force, and we are confident that he will continue fighting the good fight in whatever his next challenge might be.

We also believe that Matt’s departure serves to further point up the importance of the Our City mission. We are dedicated to making sure that San Francisco residents are aware of the issues that impact them on a year round basis, regardless of the shifting personalities positioned towards the top of politics. Substantive change is rarely made without organized pressure from an informed public base.
